Empowering Future Leaders
The Carvelle Center of Excellence is a nonprofit corporation focused on the development of young men aged 10-21. Our mission is to halt the growing crisis of at risk youths disconnection from education, lack of behavioral health services, and access to opportunity. We aim to address the lack of access to career exposure, workforce training and mentorship, while providing the life skills necessary to transition successfully into adulthood.
Our Comprehensive Services for Youth Development
This foundation will be a space to accommodate lessons in Information Technology, Fashion, Stem, Mechanics, Architecture, Nursing, Culinary Arts and a host of others. We aim to provide behavioral health services such as group therapy and individual sessions with certified professionals.
On the grounds of our future campus there will be a Freedom Garden where we will not only teach these young men how to plant and harvest, but it will also serve as a community garden for the local population. With this effort, we aim to address root issues in the community such as hunger, education and access to resources so that these young men do not fill those voids with negative actions. At it’s basic level, poverty breeds crime and our goal is to uplift all so that none fall victim.
Our reintegration program is designed to help young men who have had encounters with the justice system. We provide them with the necessary tools and guidance to reintegrate into society, focusing on personal development, skill-building, behavioral health services and positive reinforcement.
We offer a wide array of classes aimed at broadening horizons and building practical skills. These include economics, where we teach the basics of financial literacy and money management; art, where creativity is encouraged; IT, where we introduce the basics of computer literacy and digital skills; and cooking, music, fashion, gardening, mechanics, carpentry, and woodworking, where practical skills are taught and honed.
Our group therapy sessions provide a safe and supportive environment for young men to share their experiences, learn from each other, and develop coping mechanisms. These sessions are facilitated by experienced therapists who guide the discussions and provide professional advice.
Recognizing that a stable living environment is crucial for personal development, we provide emergency housing for those in need. This service ensures that every young man we serve has a safe and secure place to call home while they work towards their personal goals.
